Ingredients:
 1. Onion - 1 medium sized finely chopped
 2. Green chillies- 2 finely chopped ( add more to suit your taste buds)
 3. Ginger - 1/2 inch finely chopped
 4. Curry leaves- few
 5. Medium sized aubergine Finely chopped
 6. Green gram dhal (Pasiparuppu/moong dhal)-4 tbsp soaked in water for 5 minutes
 7. Grated Coconut - 4tbsp
 8. Salt to taste
 9. Oil
 
To temper:
 1. Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
 2. Urad dhal - 1/2 tsp
 3. Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp

Instructions:
1. Heat 1 1/2 tbsp oil in a pressure cooker pan. Add the items to temper
2. Add finely chopped onion, green chillies, ginger and curry leaves
3. Once onion is cooked, add the finely chopped aubergines. Let it cook for two minutes.
4. Add the soaked dhal, coconut and salt to taste.
5. Add 1 cup water.
6. Close the pressure cooker lid and wait for 3-4 whistles.
7. Once pressure is released, mash the cooked aubergine.
8. Serve it hot with rice with a little-added ghee.
